Step1: Lead in

First, get students to be familiar with the phrases in 1a and make sure they understand them well with the help of the teacher. Then ask students to think about the ways to be polite: What can teenagers ask their parents to do? Students should write “teenagers” next to the phrase. What do parents ask their teenagers to do?
