M: It's near the center of town. W: Does it have parking?

M: Yes. Here's a brochure. Just take a look.

W: This looks perfect. OK, I'd like to book a double room from September 23rd to the 30th under the name of Mr and Mrs Henry Evans.

(Text 9) M: Hello, Marian.

W:Hi, Peter! How nice to see you again! What are you doing here?

M: Oh, I'm just passing by. Our shop is closed this afternoon so I have a half-day off. Would you like to come for a ride in my car?

W: I'd love to, but not now. It's nearly ten to two. I've got classes from two to four. I'm a student at this college. Would you like to come in and let me show you around?

M: No, thank you. Do you always come on your bicycle? W: No, not always. When the weather is bad, I come by bus. M: Do you have a busy work load here?

W: Yes, we do. We start at nine, and finish at four.We have an hour for lunch from one to two. Good heavens! I must hurry. I'm going to be late for my class. Goodbye.

M: See you again soon, Marian. (Text 10)

Here we are at the beautiful bell tower that the village is famous for. The bell and the tower are 3 centuries old. There used to be a church which had a bell tower. The church was burnt down 150 years ago, and only the tower was left. However, the tower you see now is not that same tower. It was completely rebuilt at the end of the last century, but it's been rebuilt exactly like the old one and the bell is the same old bell that belonged to the church. Later, you can go out of the tower to have a look at it. The villagers say that the bell sounds the same as the one used 300 years ago, and just like 300 years ago, the bell is still rung every evening when the sun goes down. That's why they call it the sunset bell. It can be heard for 4 kilometers around.

People from everywhere in the country, and even from other countries, come just to see and hear the bell. They say the sunset bell brings peace and good luck. Well, I don't know about that. But I know it's brought us good business.
