First of all, please allow me to express my deep sorry to you for my resignation. I do know that this will bring about much trouble to you so that I write to you for my explanation.
I decided to quit for some reasons as follows. To begin with, the job as an editor for the magazine Designs & Fashions is not suitable to me. What¡¯s more, I am preparing for another degree and I prefer to further my study. Again, I apologize for my resignation to you!
I am looking forward to your early reply. Sincerely yours, Li Ming

Many theories concerning the causes of juvenile delinquency (crimes committed by young people) focus either on the individual or on society as the major contributing influence. Theories ´ó21¼Ò on the individual suggest that children engage in criminal behavior ´ó22¼Ò they were not sufficiently penalized for previous misdeeds or that they have learned criminal behavior through ´ó23¼Ò with others. Theories focusing on the role of society suggest that children commit crimes in ´ó24¼Ò to their failure to rise above their socioeconomic status, ´ó25¼Ò as a rejection of middle-class values.
Most theories of juvenile delinquency have focused on children from disadvantaged families, ´ó26¼Ò the fact that children from wealthy homes also

commit crimes. The latter may commit crimes ´ó27¼Ò lack of adequate parental control. All theories, however, are tentative and are ´ó28¼Ò to criticism.
Changes in the social structure may indirectly ´ó29¼Ò juvenile crime rates. For example, changes in the economy that ´ó30¼Ò to fewer job opportunities for youth and rising unemployment ´ó31¼Ò make gainful employment increasingly difficult to obtain. The resulting discontent may in ´ó32¼Ò lead more youths into criminal behavior.
Families have also ´ó33¼Ò changes these years. More families consist of one-parent households or two working parents; ´ó34¼Ò, children are likely to have less supervision at home ´ó35¼Ò was common in the traditional family ´ó36¼Ò. This lack of parental supervision is thought to be an influence on juvenile crime rates. Other ´ó37¼Ò causes of offensive acts include frustration or failure in school, the increased ´ó38¼Ò of drugs and alcohol, and the growing ´ó39¼Ò of child abuse and child neglect. All these conditions tend to increase the probability of a child committing a criminal act, ´ó40¼Ò a direct causal relationship has not yet been established. 21. [A] acting
