Study on the Propertres of Nanosilica /WPU Composites
Abstract:First, A series of waterborne polyurethane prepolymerswith different nanosilica additions were synthesized by in-situ polymerization method with polyurethane glycol (PPG-2000), isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI)£¬dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA), butanone£¨MEK£©£¬di-n-butyltin dilaurate£¨DBTDL£©£¬triethylamine£¨TEA£©and Nano-silica as basic raw materias.Then the water bornepolyurethane/nanosilica composite emulsions were prepared by emulsifying the prepolymers and spinning the rotary evaporator. The obtained products were characterized by pH values£¬solid content£¬Zeta potential test , shore durometer , scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ,infrared spectroscopy (IR) and thermos gravimetric (TG) methods.The results show that the nano-silica particles have good dispersion in polyurethane, and stability of nano-silica /WPU is the best when nano-silica is 4%. Thermal stability of composite material improves with the increase of the content of nano-silica . The solidity of the waterborne polyurethane films added with nano-silica are better than that of the waterborne polyurethane.
